Terms of Service

Last updated: August 10, 2026

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Scavengo mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Scavengo, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. About the service

Scavengo is a mobile game that turns road trips and vacations into bingo-style scavenger hunts. Users can choose hunt boards, explore real-world locations, and compete or collaborate with friends. Some features are free, while others may require a purchase or subscription.

3. Eligibility

Scavengo is a general-audience game. It is not directed at children, and it is not designed or marketed specifically for them — families are welcome to play together, but the Service is intended for a general audience of all ages.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your province or territory, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

4. Accounts and registration

Some features require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

5. User content

Scavengo may allow you to submit photos, board themes, comments, or other content (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute it solely to operate and improve the Service. You agree not to submit content that is illegal, harmful, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
  • Cheat, exploit, or manipulate game mechanics.
  • Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
  • Scrape, data-mine, or reverse-engineer the app.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.

7. Purchases and subscriptions

Some features may be offered for purchase. Prices are subject to change. All purchases are final unless required by law or the applicable app store policy. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled through your app store account settings before the renewal date.

8. Intellectual property

Scavengo and its content, trademarks, logos, and software are owned by Scavengo or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Scavengo is meant to be played safely. Always follow local laws, property rules, and safety guidelines. We are not responsible for injuries, accidents, or losses that occur while playing.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scavengo and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scavengo and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of the Province of Alberta, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Scavengo is operated from Canada and its data is hosted in Canada. If you use the Service from outside Canada, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your own local laws. See our Privacy Policy for where your information is stored and processed.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after the changes means you accept the new Terms.
